The 2006 Boating Industry Top 100

Top 100 Dealers program is “a listing of dealers who are a substantial cut above the rest”. The Top 100 ranking is based on much more qualitative data than quantitative. It’s based on how professionally dealers run the storefronts and the processes and practices that deliver the boating lifestyle to the consumers who enter them. And it looks deeply into how well they develop those employees. It’s based on what they offer their customers – above and beyond the boat, engine and accessories – and, in turn, what their customers think of them. And the strength of the list is found far more in these companies’ overall business operations than their top-line revenue or units sold.

Hagadone Marine entered into the Boating Industry’s Top 100 list for the first time this year. And it was quite a jumping off place. At #39 in North America, Hagadone Marine group, encompassing The Yacht Club Sales & Service, The Resort Boat Shop, Boardwalk Marina, Silver Beach Marina, Blackwell Island Marina and the Stateline Boat Storage Facility, made a strong first appearance. The General Manager, Craig Brosenne, is honored to have received the award. “2006 was a great year for Hagadone Marine. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service, providing the best possible boat product available as well as top notch boat services and storage.” In 2006, the Yacht Club added Malibu Boats to the line-up of Cobalt Boats and Carver Yachts. “This allowed us to extend into the younger, more dynamic boating demographic and evolve the Yacht Club brand, ‘Three Great Lines, One Location” adds Paul Nielsen, Yacht Club Director of Sales.

With a strong 2006 behind them, the team at Hagadone Marine is looking forward to the 2007 boating season. Craig Brosenne comments, “this experienced and passionate team is enthusiastic about 2007 and has quite a schedule in the works”. And indeed it sounds like they do. With the introduction of the new Cobalt Yacht line in June ‘07, the Yacht Club is thrilled to offer a second line of luxury yachts. These new yachts will make appearances at many of the boat shows in the Inland Empire. The Yacht Club is planning on attending boat shows at Spokane, Tri-Cities, Sandpoint, Black Rock, Priest Lake, Gozzer Ranch and of course the Memorial Day Show on Lake Coeur d’Alene. The upcoming year is also filled with many customer appreciation days including the famous “3rd Annual Raft Up” on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Hundreds of boats meet on the lake, tie up to each other and enjoy live music, refreshments, games and giveaways. Last year’s “Pirates of the Carribean” theme gathered quite the crowds and 2007’s Margaritaville is sure to bring out Jimmy Buffet fans by the boat load. The Yacht Club Sales & Service is located at 1000 S. Marina Drive in Coeur d’Alene, ID and can be reached at (866) 525-3232 or online at www.hagadonemarine.com.
